Net

Gabriele D’Uva – Net (2007). 100 x 150 cm. Various materials, UV paint, acrylic paint.

A net is a connection system between points, existing objects, living subjects. It allows a continuous transit and diffusion of particles. The world in which we live is a net. Our brain, through which we interact with the world, is also a net of specialized cells called neurons.
Switching from UV to visible light, this art installation represents the possibility of the existence of an invisible net. The sounds evoke the flow of information through the net and between nets.
