Well, now it’s time to post another work of mine. I will present each one because I know that you are so lazy, you will never read everything in the section “artworks” and also because in these informal descriptions I add lots of details.
The work I chose today is “hanging”. In reality I wanted to show you the last installation art, that is “Net”, but I wasn’t able to make the video because of the famous director David Bristled ( I also translated the name in english, normally it’s Davide Rizzo or for friends “Baba”) of the Elenfant Film who “stole” my photographic easel months ago and he never gave it back.
OLIVETTI M40: help Baba! the last time he passed by he broke the key of the apostrophy.
yeah, yeah exactly him, the mad distructor, known as the Attila of the third millennium! I invite everyone to send an e mail to protest against the guilty ( just click on lascia un messaggio), in order that he realizes the serious problem and brings back my easel. I’m not joking, write him for real!
Anyway, going back to “Hanging”.
The work was born in 2001 and it had to be one of the scene paintings (together with “thoughts” and with another one that was so ugly that I didn’t even gave it a title) of a short film by Corrado Punzi( Chiara e Roland). It was very different back then: it didn’t have the black panel in the back, the strings that tie up the man were not real (but painted), and the colours were completely different, the man in relief… basically we can say that…
OLIVETTI M40: ..that it was so disgusting that Punzi filmed it, just from the back, the side of the frame!!!
No, it was not disgusting, it was only different! Sure,the realisation of now satisfies me much more than the first one. Actually I will exagerate, it’s even one of my own favourite paintings. Also beacuse I find myself a lot in that man , hanging but at the same time tied up to the reality due to who knows what kind of string, power or rule.
OLIVETTI M40: Therefore, a bit like in the video “Matrix ping pong”!!!Also here misterious powers let the players and the balls hanging…

…i was saying… the doubts that i would like to emerge through this work are as lot: who am I? where do I finish and where does the rest start? is there an I or rest? where am I? Am I moving or I’m still? what is the space and the time? do I have the possibility to choose? Real choice or fictitious…

OLIVETTI M40: True! What am I? Why do you “piston” the keys every day to write these bullshits? Why do I overheat so much risking my life every day?
Shhhh!!! I got an idea: other than the welcomepage with the strange keywords that i?ve already created, I will create another one full of my questions ( always going back to the subject of the reader selection) where anyone could give his answer.

Anyway, going back to the main topic about the post, therefore “hanging”, I know that you could be interested in buying it and you could pay out who knows what crazy amount of money, but i will anticipate you saying that it’s not for sell because my brother rustled it.

A man hanging in the air who is wrapped in a confusion of diffusional lines which origin from the whole world around and before they arrive to him, they blend and interact between them. To hold him, there are five strings stuck to his hands, neck and feet, as laws that seem to govern the reality where the man is hanging. The study of the painting is in 2001, but the final realization is in 2004.
