House moving done

published on 11 August 2007 at 12:25

By now the house painters will have already finished their job and the walls of my room and of the corridor will be back simply white. ButI’m not so sad. Also because, knowing that the end of my room was near and since I couldn’t make any substantial modifications (because the house was not of my property), lately I kind of left it “dying”.
Here is the video of its last days of life joined with the birth of the new room.

OLIVETTI M40: But you moved house on sound of Can Can?
Mhhh…let’s not talk about the house moving that I get tics! These days were very heavy! I have to correct though the last post where I claimed that NO ONE was seen to give a hand. Here are the updated report cards, excluding the “officials” of the house:
Stefano: 60 hours of work ( daily average: 12 hours)

He had to move house as well so we rented a track together, but he had no idea about the huge amount of things that we had to move (we filled up a huge track 7 times!!!). He was the real transporter of the house moving, with us every day! I still have nightmares, though, of the eco of his voice: “Lets go, fast…come on, faster, let’s move out”.

Pio: 40 hours of work (daily average: 8 hours)

He gave us a big hand. Oftenly he woke up to come and move with us! FIRST CLASSIFIED!
MARK: 9

Susi: 12 hours of work (daily average: 2,4 hours)

Although she works all day long, she did a good part.
MARK: 7

Fabio: 10 hours of work (daily average: 2 hours)

Mhhh, not too much present although he’s Cip’s boyfriend. When he was there, though, he was a big help.
MARK: 6

Ilaria: 4 hours of work (daily average: 50 minutes).

She gained back points the last day helping setting up the new house.
MARK: 7 (because she’s translating this site in english!)

The neighbours: 15 minutes of work…

…to call the police the day of the final party (we even put a paper on the main door of the building to warn them). We had to pay 55 euros of fine!
MARK: 1

Michele: 0 hours of work!

Not only he didn’t move a finger (even if he’s always at our house), but he also didn’t want to lend us his “flaming” Uno to move the first boxes to new house! He was scared it was going to break! The karma, anyway is making him pay back: for several reparations during these days, the mechanic extorted him 300 euros! With all the jinxing that we sent him (contacting also professionals) we should be still at the beginning!

That’s all for now, the beach is waiting for me. I will leave you with the pictures of my old room and of the corridor completely empty. Greetings for all. Gabriele
